Privacy policy
mini Metal Detector · Updated 15 October 2026
Who is responsible
This policy covers mini Metal Detector (App Store ID 1114381920, bundle ID com.miniLabs.MetalDedektoru) and metal.minilabs.app. The developer is Mert Tüzer / MiniLabs. Contact hello@mtuzer.com with privacy questions or requests.
Sensor and camera information
Magnetic-field and motion readings are processed on your device. They are not included in our custom analytics events. The optional Field Lens in the upcoming update uses the camera and ARKit to place readings at approximate positions. Camera frames are processed on the device; the app does not upload or record camera video. Camera access is optional, and the basic meter works without it.
Saved scans and sharing
The upcoming update can save scans, dates, titles and notes locally on your device. These records are not uploaded to a MiniLabs server. You can delete them in Saved scans. Exports leave the app only when you choose a sharing destination; that destination’s handling of the file is governed by its own policy. Local app data may be included in device backups controlled by your operating-system settings.
Advertising and usage analytics
The app uses Google AdMob for banner advertisements and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand usage. These services may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device and advertising identifiers when permitted, app-instance identifiers, app/device information, sessions, ad interactions and technical diagnostics. Custom events describe actions and categories, such as a scan starting or a completed share and its format. They do not include sensor values, camera frames, notes, scan contents or precise location. The app does not request location permission.
Your advertising and analytics choices
The upcoming update uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request applicable privacy choices. Where the European consent message applies, you can consent, decline or manage options, then reopen the choices from Settings → Ad privacy. Analytics collection stays off until the analytics consent signal allows it. Advertising is requested only when UMP permits it; declining personalization may still allow limited advertisements. Apple’s tracking permission is separate and can be changed in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking does not by itself stop every type of advertising or technical processing.
Older app versions
The public App Store version is currently 1.6. Older versions do not contain the new UMP privacy menu and scan-saving flow described above. They use AdMob and Firebase Analytics; an Apple tracking choice alone does not disable Firebase usage analytics. Update the app when the new version becomes available to use the new in-app choices.
Providers, international processing and retention
Google may process advertising and analytics data on infrastructure outside your country. Retention and deletion depend on the relevant provider settings and policies linked below. We do not operate an account system or a server containing your saved scans. Contact us about available access, correction, objection or deletion options under applicable law; we may need enough information to locate the relevant record.
This website and support email
This website adds no advertisements, visitor analytics or third-party font scripts. Cloudflare hosts it and may process IP addresses, browser details and request logs for delivery and security, and use security cookies when necessary. If you email us, we process your address, message and any attachments to respond and keep the correspondence as needed for the request and necessary records. Do not send unnecessary personal information; you can request deletion of support correspondence at the same address.
Children and changes
The app is a general-purpose utility and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child’s personal information has been processed improperly, contact us. We will update this policy and its date when the app’s data practices change.
